Introduction
Dear Colleagues,
It is my great pleasure to warmly invite you to our upcoming gathering – the 2025 Congress of Clinical Microbiology, Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology (KMINE). This year marks the eleventh edition of the congress, continuing the long-standing tradition of meetings among infectious disease specialists, microbiologists, and epidemiologists. Since its inception, our conference has grown into a respected platform for sharing experience and the latest scientific insights.
This year, we will meet in Hradec Králové from 18 to 20 September 2025.
KMINE 2025 is a joint project of four professional societies of the Czech Medical Association of J. E. Purkyně: the Society of Medical Microbiology, the Society of Infectious Diseases, the Society for Epidemiology and Microbiology, and the Society for Hospital Hygiene and Epidemiology. The programme will cover a broad spectrum of topics in infectious diseases, clinical microbiology, and epidemiology, including interdisciplinary overlaps with other medical specialties.
Our aim is to connect the latest knowledge and practices across disciplines and to create space for interdisciplinary discussion. I firmly believe that a multidisciplinary approach is key to the successful diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases.
In addition to the rich scientific programme, I also look forward to informal meetings with you – our colleagues and friends. Hradec Králové, which celebrates its remarkable 800th anniversary this year, will undoubtedly serve as an excellent setting not only for the professional programme but also for informal gatherings and friendly conversations.
I wish all of us to take away from this congress not only new knowledge but also valuable inspiration for future collaboration.
Looking forward to seeing you in Hradec Králové,
Prof. Pavel Boštík, M.D., Ph.D.
President and Scientific Chair of the Congress
